Analog Sunday #2 Recap.
Word of the Day:
aver [uh-VUR] -transitive verb: to assert as true.
1) Woke up and looked at my clock and then looked at my iPhone which kindly automatically readjusted to Daylight Saving. Yes, spring forward and we lost an hour of sleep.
2) Wrote in my Analog Sunday journal.
3) I'm not going to lie. I cheated today. Today wasn't exactly a successful Analog Sunday, since my friend Vicky in London viber called me on my iPhone, we spoke and then skyped for a while. Forgive me.
4) Ate some raspberries Amélie style and made pesto pasta with prosciutto and saffron. Fancy, I know. I want to make pasta from scratch some time, when I have the motivation and patience. And I want to make pesto from scratch, shouldn't be too hard. I also want a basil plant. I was going to buy a potted herb plant from Trader Joe's, but since I'm going back to Hong Kong on Thursday, I thought I'd wait till I come back.
5) Wore my denim shortalls for the second time with a striped top; haven't worn them since the first day of last semester.
6) Took some photos of my day. I had to take a photo me and my new plant. I named her Amélie.
7) Walked in the rain with my new umbrella (photo below) to meet my friends at Little Bird Cafe before the production meeting for a music video shoot, in which I'll be one of the art directors. Can't lie. I had to use technology during this meeting.
8) Came back, lit a candle and ate crackers, prosciutto (yes, I love me some cured meats), herbed goat cheese and dried cranberry and drank my favorite English breakfast tea, P.S. yesterday I had one of the best artisan sandwiches ever from Boudin. Fra' Mani Artisan Ham & Brie. Heavenly. Delightful. Perfection.
9) Attempted to paint Claude Monet's Impression Sunrise with watercolor. It's still drying. Photo tomorrow. It was a challenge, but a fun experience nonetheless.
10) While waiting for the paint to dry, I read a few pages of 11,002 things to be miserable about, still going through that book, it's taking a while, because well, there are 11,002 things on the list.
11) Still powering through Mere Anarchy. Woody Allen is my hero.
12) Second mug of tea. Rosehip tea.13) Hopefully, next Sunday will be a more successful Analog Sunday. I'll be back in Hong Kong, so I plan to send out cover letters and résumés to film companies. Wish me luck. I will need it. I will also send a letter to Woody Allen's production company. I hope I'll get a response or even a cough would suffice.
Also, I re-named my Ugly Doll Beep N' Bop to Kitty (in Monsters Inc., Boo calls Sully Kitty instead).
Please note: I write this post after Sunday, but I set the post date to Sunday.
great sunday, I cheated a little too, because I forgot i need to do tutorial and is online, so went back on internet at night time... too bad.
ReplyDeleteYou have to come over and see my plants, I have a bunch of carnivorous plants that I love and consider my best friends/family. Haha, I loove plants! Yours is lovely! And is that Woody Allen's real autograph??
ReplyDeleteWow is that really Woody Allen's autograph? How awesome! You know what a fan I am of collecting autographs! Haha it's okay, we all slip off the wagon sometimes, and in your case I think it was an exception since you were talking to your friend in London! I love how relaxing your analog Sundays are! I sort of tried to do it yesterday, but then I was sewing and when I sew, the TV is right by my sewing machine, and I usually do both...and then somehow a day of sewing turned into mostly just watching TV :( Ah well, I'll try again next weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt's supposed to be Woody Allen's real autograph. It was a birthday present. It's one of the only things I kept from a past relationship.
ReplyDeletehey, you did pretty darn good and there's always next sunday. i just got a basil plant myself- it smells so so good! i ripped up some leaves and ate them on my egg this morning. definitely pick one up when you're back. have fun in hk!
ReplyDeleteLoving your set of pictures! And I love that you called your new plant Amelie!! Have a lovely evening, Kristina
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a lovely Sunday, those shots are so beautiful, I'm glad to see Kitty here and I can't wait to her more of her adventures - it's a girl right? How sweet of you to name your plant Amélie! Funny coincidence: I'm listening to the soundtrack right now.
